Residential Services

Family Support Services

Direct Service Workers (DSW's) provided services in the home of a person with disabilities or special needs. Services vary and are based on need. Services include, but are not limited to, assisting with bathing, dressing, eating, cleaning and performing household chores to ensure a clean environment.

Long Term Personal Care

This program is designed for Medicaid recipients who meet the admission requirements for a nursing facility. The purpose is to provide limited assistance to allow a recipient to remain in the home.

Respite Care

Respite care services are designed to provide relief to caregivers to spend time away from the family member requiring extensive attention. The caregiver has the opportunity to attend appointments, engage in recreational activities, run errands or simply rest. Services can vary and are based on individual needs. Respite care is funded through a United Way grant.

Supervised Independent Living

The Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program is designed to help individuals live as independently as possible in their own apartment or house in the community of their choice, allowing the individuals to live independent of families, group homes or institutions. The Arc of St. Charles provides assistance in finding an apartment or house, managing finances and utility bills and adjusting to the community.
